What Are Risks Of Sudden Cardiac Arrest After Taking Domperidine For Nausea?

I was experiencing intense nausea so I took 10mg of domperidone. I am afraid of the risk of sudden cardiac death. What is the risk? I am 25, female, and take zoloft, lamictal, xanax, atarax, famotidine, simvastatin, and just took some activated charcoal because I am afraid of the risk.

Hello,

I can sense the panic in you.
Domperidon has been in the market since the 1980s and is considered relatively safe in the recommended oral doses.
The incidence of Sudden Cardiac Death was slightly more in people over 60 years of age who were on more than 30mg dose. You don't run the risk in both counts.
Relax, your risk is negligible.
I also notice that you are taking a number of medicines for anxiety, depression and psychosomatic problem of acidity. A healthy life style, exercise and stress relieving measures like yoga or meditation may help you.
