hi, I am 23 years old and m a pregnent of 6 months.. i have seen my sister which is 25 yrs old and lost her baby after 15 minutes of her normal delivery . i am little bit scared about normal delivery right now. Is there any problem to sigerine delivery?
Hi, Please don't worry. Yes,Cesarean delivery like any other surgical procedure has complications. So,unless normal delivery is not possible due to maternal or fetal problem a Cesarean delivery is done only when normal vaginal delivery or vacuum or forceps cannot safely achieve delivery. Cesarean can cause problem in all future pregnancies,as it will cause a scar on the uterus. Also,Cesarean delivery if performed early then the chances of the baby being admitted in NICU increases. Also there is more blood loss and the risk of damage to other organs with caesarean. The length of stay in hospital and also the recovery is longer with caesarean. Normal delivery is without any complications most of the time.Off course seeing a close relative suffer must have affected you.I would advise to take antenatal classes and also speak to the doctor you will be delivering you. being positive and getting support during labour will help you relax. Also lot of methods of pain relief during labour are available ,which the doctor will discuss with you. Hope this helps. Regards.
