Hi doc, My friends husband is suffering from pnemonia . He is being treated in johanasburg. He is diabetic and has cholesterol too. He is in ventilator now. He had a minor heart attack too. The doctors there put a stent yesterday. His heart is not pumping properly. He has blocked arteries. They are planning to put another stent tomorrow .. What are his chances of survival

diabetes, pneumonia,cholesterol,heart attack with blocked arteries are all multiple problems.
these are all high risk conditions
at this stage cardiac stent is also mandatory, as correction of the cardiac status is to save the heart to save the life
the other causes like pneumonia, diabetes can be treated aggressively.
once the cardiac status is settled the other things like infections are treated with appropriate antibiotics according to the sensitivity
allthough he is under high risk his chances of survival is also at stake
let us not jump into conclusions,but hope for the best
