What Are The Adverse Effects Of Lysol Consumption?

I accidently sprayed Lysol with hydrogen peroxide all over my dishes when I was cleaning the kitchen two days ago. I washed the dishes twice and didn t think anything of it. but then I ate off them today and i m just concerned what if there was any Lysol residue still on the dishes. is that poisonous and would I know immediately if I should be concerned?

Brief Answer:
You shouldn't be worried.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.
I
have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.......

You asked two questions
(1) After even washing the dishes twice can it hurt you if it has some Lysol or Hydrogen peroxide still there?
(2) What are the side effects of Lysol.

Now for your better understanding i will answer both these questions one by one
(1)Suppose you hadn't washed the dishes even once, even then just by a spray ..quantity of Lysol on dish surface would have been real small, then only that amount could enter your body which had touched the food you ate.. so it further reduced the amount of Lysol, because there's a remote possibility that all the Lysol on dish surface would have been sucked up by the food you ate, so even if you hadn't washed the dishes ,possibility of Lysol affecting you was almost negligible.

GOD NEWS:
As you have washed the dishes twice ...Lysol remaining on its surface would have reduced to 0%... as 100% of dishes available today are non absorbing. So in my pinion Your chances of Hydrogen peroxide or Lysol affecting you are next to Zero ...

(2)Side Effects Of Lysol intake:
Most of the Side effects of Lysol are documented for inhalation or its exposure to skin,or if sprayed in an area where kids are present:
These include allergic reactions, damage to skin, eyes ,GI tract and rarely disturbed Brain function and most of them are just temporary and in your case it is not inhalation so you don't have to worry about that. in case of oral consumption Lysol has very few documented side effects and those too on very high doses which is again not a case in your scenario so worry not.you Have done a very wise things to wash up you dishes thoroughly twice.

Now in my opinion you and your dishes are perfectly safe :) just take care in future to cover them before your spray and keep the spray away from pets and kids.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
