What Are The Bad Effects Of Low Blood Pressure 87/57?
How bad is that? When should i be concerned? What are negative effect of having low blood pressure? Is this number reallly low or is it fine?? If anyone has an information about low blood pressure I would like to know? I m 19 years old My blood pressure ranges from 90/70 but the avegrage is about 90 something over 63 in that area
It's only mildly hypotensive. Hypotension is defined as BP <90/60. Low BP is only ever a problem if you are symptomatic with dizziness etc. If you are not symptomatic then there is no problem. The only negative effects would be if your BP dropped to low causing lack of blood supply to the brain.
Of course not alot can be ascertained from single BP readings. If for example your BP dropped from 130+ to 87 then this would be significant. Also, how was this reading obtained? BP is variable and single readings should never be considered diagnostic. If you are experiencing episodes of dizziness then see your Doctor. The good news is that you are at an significantly lower stroke risk.
