What Are The Biological Effects Of Substance P In The Nervous System?

I have had thyroid cancer, parathyroid adenoma and Hashimotos. I have extreme inflammation (high fibrinogen, HS CRP, and Homocystine) and have been reading a lot about Substance P. Can you recommend anything to reduce it? Or other recommendations for inflammatory reduction.

Hi,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that this substance is related to the pain sensibility. It acts like a neurotransmitter in the spine. The drugs which help reduce this substance are opioids (codeine, morphine, pethidine, etc.).

Painkillers (Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, etc.) help reduce its levels to with indirect way, by reducing the inflammatory cytokines.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
