What Are The Causes Of Fatty Liver?

I have been a heavy bing drinker and get consistant twinges on left and right side under ribs. Recently I stopped drinking but it is worse not having drank anything. Had liver tested a couple of months ago and there was a bit of hepatic liver but normal everything else. what could it be? My father passed away from pancreatic cancer just 5 months ago after a 4 month fight. Needless to say my drinking increased during this time.

Hello,

Your liver problem especially fatty liver is related to excess drinking. The alcohol can damage the hepatocytes and so fat is getting accumulated, so fatty liver develops.

I suggest you investigate with sgpt and serum protein estimation as well for further work up. Kindly revert back with reports once done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
