Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A Few weeks ago I started with a what you can call a stiff neck feeling, thought it was because I sleep with a fan on however it doesnt blow directly on my head. Now it moved into the back of my lower head and it really hurts esspecially when I m laying down to sleep or try to move my head what is it or causes this?
Hi, As this problem since long, this stiffness might not be due to blowing of fan on your head. If you are elderly then it might be due to some degenerative changes in your cervical spines giving rise to stiffness on neck muscles. Go for x-ray cervical spines. Take some analgesic with muscle relaxants medicines for few days. Go for physiotherapy. Ok and take care.
