What Are The Chances Of Breast Cancer After Treated One?
Hi, my mum was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at 58 with a lump found in her left breast. The lump was removed and she underwent very strong chemotherapy and a coarse of radiotherapy. She had a follow up ultrasound and mammogram today and they found something in her right breast. Could it be cancer again?
hello dear. i have gone through the details. triple negative is a bad form of breast cancer. Chances of a triple negative cancer to reappear are highest in the first 3 years after treatment. After that the risk is low and practically nil after 5 years. since your mother has developed something in opposite breast, it may be a tumor. She must undergo biopsy to rule out that. Hope you understand. Thanks regards
