What Are The Chances Of Contracting HIV After Having Unprotected Sex With A Massage Parlour Worker?

Hi. I recently had unprotected sex with a massage parlor worker. The entire penetration was literally less than 15 seconds. What are the chances of contracting HIV? And is there any information on the HIV rate in US massage paroles? Thank you so much for taking my questions

hi Thanks for using HCM,
In my opinion You are not at "great risk" for having acquired the virus, however, unprotected insertive vaginal sex does place you at some degree of risk for STDs, including HIV. The odds are very much in your favour that you did not contract the virus, but testing is still certainly warranted at the three-month mark. Please note, HIV-antibody tests taken before the three-month mark are not considered to be definitive.
Good luck. Be well.
