Girlfriend had heavy bleeding for 4 to 5 day with dizziness and bad cramps too where she couldn't get out of bed....finally went to the doctor and the doctor said she was pregnant and her body tried to abort the baby...but they did no ultrasound or check cervix....whats the likelihood that it is a misscarriage?

Hello!
Thanks for your query.
Heavy bleeding in the first trimester ,particularily when is accompanied by pain,is associated with higher risk of miscarriage.
Depend on the gestational age (over 6 weeks ) you can confirm fetal heart rate.
With vaginal bleeding and precence of fetal heart rate the risk for miscarriage is low than without fetal heart rate.
If your girlfriend is more than 6 weeks she can go do do an TVS to confirm fetal heart rate.
After that she can take some pills to support her pregnancy like :
duphaston,uterogestan ect
Take care of your self
