What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Egg Rupture

I had clofert for five days then had ovulation study.. the day size of egg was 17mm , doctor asked to get it checked after one day gap and told tht now they will tell when to take chance, so we refrained from making out . Then after one day gap whn we went, they told the egg has ruptured and we are worried if we have a chnce of pregnancy now.because they cannot tell exactly whn it ruptured a day before or on the day they checked.how long we have chances after egg ruptures.nw i m advised to take myprog 300 for ten days?

Hi,I went through your query in detail. As regards the life of egg after rupture is concerned, the egg can survive for only 12-24 hrs after its release. If a couple is interested in becoming pregnant, they are advised to plan their relation so that it coincides with the ovulation. Once pregnant it takes about seven days for the fertilised ovum to travel down the fallopian tube and get embedded in the uterus. My prog 300 is a progesteron preparation which can compensate with the low levels of progesteron in the body (if any) and helps in the implantation of embryo and therefore helps in the continuation of pregnancy. So please continue to take the medicines advised by your doctor, your doctor will then do a pregnancy test after a missed period to confirm the pregnancy.
