What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Stopping Birth Control Pills?
I had sex with a girl for 4-5 seconds, did not ejaculate and we decided not to do it. She was taking birth control a long time ago but said that she has not had her period since June due to her body adjusting to not taking the birth control any more. I do know about the existence of pre-cum, but I feel that it would be highly unlikely that it would cause a pregnancy in this situation. She took the morning after pill 56 hours after we had sex as well. Is there anything that I need to be worrying about?
Hello, Welcome to Ask a doctor services. I have read your query & can understand your concern. It is good to know that she took the morning after pill in time. Morning after pill when taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex reduces the risk of pregnancy to 89%. However, fertility rate of women increases after they stop taking contraceptive pills.
To avoid pregnancy & STD protected sex should always be preferred. Hope I have answered your query, take care. Regards, Dr Nupur K
