Hi,

You should know that after an intracranial hemorrhage the blood is accumulated in the brain and this is responsible for the loss of function of that part of the brain, leading to motor or sensory deficits.

After the bleeding has stopped, the time of recovery is too long (which may take months of physiotherapy). This is related to the absorption of the blood and gain of the limb function.

This happens only if no complications are present during hospitalization. But you should know that this is a serious disorder with a high rate of mortality and also invalidity.

Hope to have helped you understand the situation. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing all the best for your grandmother,

Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
