Hi,

Restyl is a short acting benzodiazepine commonly prescribed to treat panic disorders and anxiety.

If taken in larger doses it can cause respiratory depression and coma which can be reversed by immediate supportive care and by administration of a benzodiazepine antagonist flumazenil.

The length of benzodiazepine induced coma varies depending on the situation it may be only 12 hours, or it can last for few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
