What Are The Consequences Of Taking Birth Control Pills Continuously Without Breaking For Period?

hi wonder if you could help me. i have continued my pill for 2 months without having a break for my period. this month i had a break for my period. i came on this morning with horrific pains this morning. 20 minutes ago i went to change my towel and have notice thick stretchy bloody bits. i have no idea what this is and very scared. advice please!

Hi,

In fact, continuous use of birth control pills cause no additional side effects even if taken for an extended period, even without break. Actually you can take these pills as long as you wish, without any extra long or short term side effects. In my opinion, your bleeding should be as much normal as it would have been after a normal break through period. Stretchy bloody bits, is one of the normal outcome of breakthrough bleeding.
