Hi I'm 26 years old, myopic (-6.00 and -5.50), and I would like to do the laser operation to correct my problem. My corneal thickness is: Pachi 544u and Pachi 535u. Do you think I can do the operation? Which method is better for me, Prk or Femtolasik?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having myopia of -5 and -6 dioptres and you want to undergo LASIK surgery. LASIK can correct up to -10 dioptres of myopia. Since you are aged more than 18 years, with adequate corneal thickness you are eligible to undergo LASIK. PRK is meant for people with decreased corneal thickness. Femtosecond LASIK is the recent advancement in LASIK and it is called ad blade less LASIK. Femtosecond LASIK is the best one and you can undergo it.
Thank you
