I am 17 years old girl. I have been wearing glasses for 11 years. My right eye has sphere -2.00 / cylinder -2.25/axis 90° /prism 20/40 My left eye has sphere -2.25/cylinder -1.50/axis 105° /prism 20/40 Is there any possibility to reduce my cylinder power? How can I reduce my cylindrical power? And Should I wear contact lens? And please tell the disadvantages of wearing contact lens with cylindrical power
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having myopia with astigmatism. This needs to be corrected by use of spherical and cylindrical glasses. You need to wear lenses with cylindrical power for treatment of astigmatism. There are no disadvantages of wearing lenses with cylindrical power. There is no need to worry. The cylindrical power cannot be reduced now but it can be corrected by refractive laser surgery after the age if 21 once the refractive error becomes stabilized.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
