What Are The Early Signs And Symptoms Of HIV?

Hi Doc,



I had protected one night stand sex with a girl 11 days ago. I'm confident that the condom did not break, however I've gotten myself really worried about HIV and other STDs. I currently have a Sunburnt skin feeling on the top half of back...from the naked eye there seems to be a sign of some redness. Could this be an early sign of HIV infection? Or could it be more likely an outcome of anxiety? Is 11 days after possible infection to early to be showing possible HIV early symptoms?

Yes 11 days are too early for hiv to produce sign and symptoms. And also your symptoms are not of hiv so dint worry. Hiv symptoms are persistent fever, chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, weaknesses lymphadenopathy, frequently infection etc.
still go for hiv testing you may be in Window period also. Go for confirmatory test after a month of exposure.

No 11 days is too early for hiv to produce sign and symptoms. moreover your symptoms are not of hiv. Symptoms of hiv are persistent fever, chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, weaknesses, lymphadenopathy frequent infection etc. Consult doctor for your current symptoms and go for hiv testing once. Go for confirmatory hiv testing after a month of exposure.
