hi, i stopped taking my monthly bc pills end of april. i got my normal period the beginning of may (1-3). two weeks later (15-17) i got my period again. i had sexual intercourse while i was on this second period. it was a light period. i am having symptoms of pregnancy. some discharge. i am going to the bathroom more frequently. my abdominal area feels tight sometimes. i have been puking. so im not sure which one is my normal period? and am i pregnant? i took a test but it was negative. should i wait a little while longer to take another test?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Frequent urination, vomiting and cramping in lower abdomen is common in early pregnancy. The second period you had could have been bleeding due to ovulation. Pregnancy could have occurred if you had intercourse during that period. I will suggest you to get an urine pregnancy test done after one week to confirm the diagnosis and get appropriate treatment timely. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
