What Are The Effects For Having Unprotected Sex Before Completing Postinor-2 Dose?
Hi, I took one tablet postinor 2 and forget to complete the dose mean while I had an unprotected sex after taking the one tablet, are there any dangers or side effect I shld expect as a result of this also can I still get pregnant since I didn't complete the dose and had another unprotected sex?
Hi, The chances of failure are indeed present since you have not completed the dose. If the two incidents happened during the safe period of your cycle, provided you have regular cycles, then you are safe. You may see a withdrawal bleed about a week after the pill usage and a delay of a week or two in your next normal period. If you do not see your next normal period within 10-14 days after it is due, see a specialist for further appraisal of the situation. A sonogram, preferably trans-vaginal, would also aid. Please restrict the use of emergency contraception in future to the real emergencies, only once or twice a year. Hope this helps.
