Hello You mentioned that norethisterone provide relief in bleeding but you didn t mention the reason which is responsible for excessive bleeding ( I mean disease ). As coil failed , cerzette and mini pill also failed . Only norethisetrone is working . Since you are getting benefit from this medicine , so you can take it for prolong period . Its side effects are amenorrhea ( which you want , at present) , depression ( but you are not feeling because of its advantage ) , headache breast discomfort edema , rash , liver function test ( LFTs) and many more . But in your case you are getting a big advantage and can postpone ablation . However , you din t mention the name of disease , so it is not possible to say something about surgery and requirement of norethisterone . In my opinion consult one more gynecologist and get his opinion , till you can use your drug. Good luck.
