What Are The Effects Of Prolonged Use Of MDMA?

Hi, I was wondering the effects of prolonged use of MDMA? Not daily but about 10 times within the span of a few months. After my friends last usage she fell extremely depressed and feels she isnt right up there. Could you explain the long term effects MDNA has on the brain?

Hi,

MDMA and other amphetamine related drugs act as stimulants in the brain. So, when the body goes into withdrawal, it is common to have depression or other psychiatric symptoms. These drugs can also cause serious psychiatric disorders like psychosis after heavy use, or in susceptible people. They also are highly addictive and difficult to give up. Your friend will perhaps need treatment with a psychiatrist to help her come out of these symptoms.

Best wishes.
