What Are The Exact Negative Effects Of Inhaling THC?

What are the exact negative effects of inhaling THC? What, if any, are the long term effects of repeatable usage of THC? Is the addiction psychological, or something else? I m aware of the carbon monoxide in the drug, and also of the risk of having a heart attack.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
THC means tetrahydrocannabinol. It is a psychostimulant. It has both psychological and physiological dependence. Long-term use can lead to multisystem involvement. It can affect sexual functions and psychological distress.

Cannabis addiction is associated with 4 times increased risk of psychological disorder. So it would be better to avoid it.
Consult a psychiatrist and get further assistance. Go for de-addiction and rehabilitation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vishal Garala
