Appendix is a vestigial organ ( without any function) present at the junction of small and large bowel. The appendix enlarges and cause pain. The cause is unknown. When it is enlarged and cause the symptoms , it has to be removed by surgery. It can be troublesome for the overall health of a person. So only thing we can suggest is to meet your local doctor as soon as possible.
