What Are The Ill Effects Of Taking Esi Injections For A Longer Duration?

Hello!! I received a series of ESIs for my spine 6 weeks ago. On that single date I was injected in two regions. L4,L5, and S1 for a herniated disc, as well as degenerative disc disease. My heart rate has been in the 100s and I have been irritable and anxious. I ve read that these symptoms indeed can occur with ESI injections. ESI injections are shown to stay in the system for approximately 2 weeks. I have felt these effects still at around 6 weeks. What are contributing factors as to why these injections durations would vary and be extended that long? I have also had two bladder infections in the period of a month. I know ESIs can impact your immune system. My OBGYN s office staff, as well as urgent care inquired about how much water I m drinking. Do ESIs have any other effects on any other body systems? I drink between 40 and 60 ounces of water a day. I weight 135. If there s anything that you know could be going on systemically if I m having a bad reaction, I would appreciate your insight. Hello madam, welcome to Health care magic.You can go for three to four injections per year. This injection supress the stimulus like pain. so you will be relieved of pain. Initially the steriod supression is new. So the pain is supressed and the injection effect will be for longer duration. after few doses, The pain stimulus get adjusted to these steriods. So it becomes difficult to supress pain for longer durations.Also as you rightly said your body become susceptible for infections (immuno supressive). Any reactions during procedure will be seen immediately after the procedure.Other than these no other issues.
