Hello dear, thanks for writing in. MP forte is not an allopathic medication and is an ayurvedic preparation probably intended for getting periods. There is no available scientific information on the drug. If your delay in periods has happened just this one time, you can take tab. Meprate 10 mg once daily for 5 days. You will get your periods in about a week after stopping the drug. But if your periods are always irregular, it could be due to hormonal imbalance caused by a metabolic syndrome called polycystic ovarian syndrome and you may have to get few blood tests done(glucose tolerance test, thyroid profile, prolactin ) for its complete evaluation and also discuss with your gynaecologist the medical options for getting regular periods. Do remember that maintain a normal body weight is the key to get regular periods and one must incorporate diet plan and regular exercise in their daily routine to achieve the same. Hope this information helps. Take care.
