What Are The Long Term Side Effects Of Serta?

What are the side effect of serta 50mg in the long run. After taking it for 10 days. I am feeling better. Now i get only one irrational thought like i can have sex with my son or i can have sex with my mother..Before these kind of thoughts used to disturb me throughout the day. but now it is reduced to once or twice in a day. So wanted to know if i can stop it.

the sertraline is a very good anti depressant and have very good result , if uses for long time.
The normal dose is 100 - 150 mg /.day.
As you mentioned that now due to reduce dose irrational thoughts alleviated , so this is good thing .
You are taking this drug for 10 days and now drug is acclimatized in your body , so you can use it for very long time without any side effect .
All these side effects , you were mentioned in the query were due to central, nervous system action ( disrupts obsessive rumination ) .
Now need not to worry .
Take drug till your doctor recommend it .
