What Are The Miscarriage Chances With Irregular Yolk Sac During Pregnancy?
Possibly 5 weeks pregnant no sure when my last period was also have an irregular cycle no spotting have pregnant like symptoms sore breast cramping and exhausted. I went to the doctor Wednesday they said everything thing was fine I'm just too early. I went to the emergency room yesterday 4 days later Bc I had cramping no spotting was told my yolk sac looked irregular my hcg levels where 6000. They said I have a 50/50 chance of miscarriage. What does this mean? Is it possible I'm too early or an off vaginal ultra sound?
Hi, Your hormone levels are good. Yet, to conclude about the status of your pregnancy, serial serum beta-hCG levels should be established as doubling titres every 2-3 days coupled with a viable pregnancy indicate good prognosis. A trans-vaginal sonogram can visualize fetal pole as early as 5-6 weeks along with a fetal heart at the end of the 5th week. It is too early and precocious to conclude on a miscarriage; expectant management is the line of treatment. I think your pregnancy is old enough to be seen in a vaginal sonogram. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
