I visited CSW on 16 July 2014, I had a protected insertive oral sex and continued with vaginal intercourse without changing of a new condom. I am worried of the effectiveness of the condom post BJ. As a doctor in another forum said that there is still a risk of HIV infection even though the condom not break or leak.
I am wondering if a protected sex is having a risk then what is the route of HIV transmission without exposure and exchange of body fluid.
I am confused and thinking whether or not I need to get tested. Kindly advise.
hi the different modes of transmission of HIV are by participating in any sort of un protected sex(oral, anal, vaginal) with HIV positive person or by sharing needles with a positive person or by blood transfusion taken from HIV positive person etc....
in your case you had oral sex and used the same condom for intercourse and you did not mention any breaks in the condom.
if condom is intact then there is no chance of getting HIV. doctor in other forum might have told about the condom failure rate which is around 1-2%.
to rule out infection you can undergo an DNA PCR test which will give a high sensitive reaction. hope i have cleared your doubts.
