What Are The Possible Effects Of Increased TLC ?

I m charu from chandigarh.. my doctor told me that my tlc is increased. could you plz tell me what is this and what effects of it.. m very scared of it somebody tolds me that its not good .. could u plz tell me what i hv to do now.. as soon as possible

You have not mentioned your complaints and the reason why you underwent this test. So without proper case history it is difficult to give opinion. In general TLC stands for total leucocyte count and it tends to get elevated in case infections, this is the general scenario and usually there is no need for alarm, as good antibiotics can correct infection and count will come down. But there are certain conditions where TLC can be very high and has serious etiological factors.
