What Are The Problem Occured By Working On Computer?
Hi, Is there anyone who can advise me what could be the possible problems while working at the computers. I was reading an article on Repetitive stress injuries in various occupations. I would like to know more about the problems one could experience working. I am a tech savvy and spend lot of time at around 15 hours a day near this magic machine. I would share some which I have known like wrist pain, hand pain, eye problems like dry eyes and shortsightedness, obesity etc
I know few problems which I would like to share with you members.
They are back pain, eye strain, neck pains, and problems with the ankle joint.
I heard computer cause some problems related to heart though I am not sure. Can anyone read about this or informed about this.
I have a fancy name to say about the problems a computer professional could face.
It is called Pilot seat syndrome, isn’t fanciful; may be as the pilot sits for long hours in the seat as we do at this box and his problems are similar.
Computer related injury or Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) result from repeated movements and awkward postures that fatigue and strain (and can permanently damage) soft tissues. Improper use and/or overuse of muscles and tendons in the fingers, hands, arms, shoulders, neck and back during work and recreational activities can cause cell damage by depleting oxygen and nutrients in the tissues. Because we use these body parts daily, they are given little opportunity to repair themselves. A small ache or pain tolerated for a long time may eventually result in RSI.
When you understand the conditions that can cause injuries, you can modify your actions and the tools and equipment you use to reduce the potential for cumulative damage to your body. RSI is not just something that happens at work. You are also at risk when you are involved in household chores, hobbies, and sports. If your leisure time activities continue to strain the same tissues that you use at work, the problem is compounded. It is your responsibi
hi man,the wrist pain and hand pain you describe is quite possibly related to the use of your computer mouse and likely to be due to repeated pressure on the wrist and/or elbow.
The symptom can relate to inflammation of tendons (tendonitis) or irritation of nerves (neuralgia) and be referred from the wrist or elbow into the forearm.Your doctor would be able to advise the likely origin following an examination of the affected limb.Rest may be indicated, along with the use of tubigrip support or anti-inflammatory medication, depending upon the severity of the condition.I advise my patients who present with this problem to use a wrist pad, so as to ensure that they are not putting too much force through the wrist area. The ergonomics of the mouse are very important and ideally we should carefully choose one that suits the size and shape of our hand and fingers. You may find one of the larger mice available will allow you to navigate, point and click without your wrist being in contact with the desktop. Your other
