What Are The Procedure To Be Followed Before Colonoscopy?
Hi Dr. and good morning. I m concerned and wonder how to start using a medicing my doctor told me to drink before the date of my colonoscopy. The medicing name is: PEG-3350 & ELECTROLYTES UNFLAV. And the nurse gave me a container to mix it with water. Would you please help me out? Thank you very much.

You should mix in the container given by the nurse, the medicine with 4 liter of lukewarm water. After that , shake the suspension several times to ensure that the ingredients are dissolved and begin drinking it, at about 6 am of the day before the procedure. You should drink it with a rate of around 1 liter for hour until 4 liters are consumed. If the rectal effluent is clear before finishing this 4 liters, you don't need to keep drinking it.
Be aware not to drink red and purple liquids. You can consume a light dinner, and if you are going to do it under sedation , do not eat breakfast.
