Hi, 1. Used to treat severe cystic acne, Acutret (retinoid) is known to cause dryness of the skin, nose, lips and mouth. Other side effects include itching, nose bleeds, and cracks in the corners of the mouth. It is also known to cause severe birth defects if taken during pregnancy. So, you should not use it if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. 2. Meprate is a form of female hormone progesterone that helps regulate ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary) and menstrual periods and hence commonly prescribed to treat irregular menstrual bleeding and delayed periods.
