Hello and thanks for using Health care magic.
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
I am sorry that you are having these problems.
The causes of bleeding may be:
1. Bleeding due to infection in the
vaginal vault or a bleeder left open in the vault. This is usually the commonest cause. The excess bleeding that you notice may be due to blood collecting in the vagina as you were lying down for most of the time and then a gush of the collected blood after getting up.
The management is usually conservative meaning that surgical intervention is not needed. Drugs like tranexamic acids and antibiotics are used to control infection. Bleeding usually stops after a few days to weeks.
2. Bleeding from the
hysterectomy stump: Happens with subtotal hysterectomy when the lower most part of the
uterus is not removed leading to bleeding .
It is better if you see your doctor and look for the cause of bleeding and get treated accordingly.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
