I don t remember gettn bit but my ankle itched a bit and then I felt it starting to get hot and throbbing some. When I looked at it about an hour later it was pretty swollen towards the back of the foot, its red and hot, and it is sensitive to touch in one spot about the size of a quarter. The pain seems to be getting worse...it is a throbbing sharp burning pain and it hurts to stand on it or flex my foot when I walk . The pain seems to be moving up my leg at times. What could this be
Hello there is possibility of cellulitis or fungal infection. As per your symptoms there is possibility of skin infection leading to swelling and itching. you may need clinical examination and blood investigation along with x ray.
