What Are The Recommendations For Consistently High Blood Pressure Over The Past Few Months?

hi, my wife age 38 has high blood pressure 161/97 checked early in the morning, last night it was 157/92. She don’t take any medicine. What are the recommendations? She is having high blood pressure for a few months. Some times it stays between 135-140/85-90 some times higher. It is not coming down below 135/85.

Hi,

If one's blood pressure is consistently high and above 140/90 at rest, they have hypertension. Since your spouse is young, you need to get a USG of the abdomen and TFT test. Medications can be considered after these. Please do regular exercise and have a salt free diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
