Hello, Welcome to healthcaremagic.com, Red spots over penis with pain are suggestive of having an infective lesions on your penis, most likely it is a genital herpetic lesion. Genital herpes is caused by herpes simplex virus, spread by oro-genital route. Genital herpes is characterised by red lesions, painful erosions, vesicles present over genital regions specially over the mucus membranes. Associated with painful micturition, painful coitus. Diagnosis can be confirmed by ELISA to detect the viral antigen. Treatment involve antiviral medication such as acyclovir for 5-7 days. Chances of recurrence are high, precautions involves maintaining genital hygiene, avoiding unprotected sexual practices. I would suggest you to seek an opinion from venereologist as well before starting treatment. Thank you.
