What Are The Repercussions Of Prolonged Use Of Hydrocodone?

i have taken Hydrocodone for Back problems, had 5 surgeries, i took 4 7.5 per day for approx 2 years.. I was scared about not taking any - my doctor asked me to stop taking them and to taper down to 3 a day for a week then 2 a day for a week but i went from 4 to 3 to 2 to Zero in 3 days. I did fell a little ill for a day or two and had trouble sleeping for 4 or 5 days? My question is am i done? i didn t taper and had none of the problems my doctor thought i would have. am i just lucky or will i be having problems with withdrawal, i am more worried about withdrawal then anything else
