What Are The Risks Associated With Congenital Heart Disease?
My mom is 45 years old. She has had Type 1 Diabetes for 11 years. She was just told that she has Congenital Heart Disease and they are also checking her for Lupus. How will this affect her? What can we do to keep her healthy? Thank you.

Congenital heart diseases can be of various types. Lupus may be associated with congenital complete heart block in your children but not in yourself. It may be associated with diabetes.

I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned what type of congenital heart disease your mother has got not mentioned here, unless it is clear what type defect is this ? can not say for sure how this would affects, one more thing if this was the congenital heart disease then this ought to be known in early days of life because of the symptoms if this is silent one then this is nothing to worry, your further query would be answered regarding this, take care of your mother, good day.
