What Are The Risks Of Taking Progesterone Pessaries During Pregnancy?

Hi I am 40, fell pregnant a year ago but miscarried early. I am now 4 and a half weeks pregnant, used letrozole (assisted ovulation tablets) and fell on my second cycle. I have just started taking Progesterone pessaries as I heard it can help prevent miscarriage. But I am worried of the risks if my progesterone levels are ok and I have read when you stop them it can cause abortion. Are there risks taking progesterone?

Hello madam,I understand your concern.In my opinion progesterone pessaries does not cause any problem.As you have history of miscarriage better take them till 20 weeks or more depending on the doctors advice.And on stopping also they dont cause any abortion.so dont worry.relax.
