Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I have polycystic ovaries and been through a right fallopian tube removal due to ectopic pregnancy twice. I had take clomid since last 2012 and had stop last october 2013. is it possible to take an ovamit just to change my OB-Gyne prescription? Thanks. Godspeed!
Welcome to HCM and thank you for the query. Clomid and Ovamit are different brands of the same drug clomiphene. The main reason for POCS is Insulin Resistance and this is not addressed by Clomiphene. To reduce insulin resistance, you should use metformin in addition to weight loss. This can be combined with the fertility medicines. With these you would be blessed with a baby sooner or later. Best wishes, Dr Noble Zachariah
