What Are The Side Effects For Cephalexin?
my 10 year old has been diagnosed with strep throat and he has been taking cephalexin for oral suspension. He has taken two doses so far however he has been complaining of a stomach ache and has been passing very bad smelling gas uncontrollably. My question is: Is there anything that he can take to help with his gas problem and his stomach ache or do I need to get a more mild antibiotic??

Cephalexin is known to cause diarrhea, abdominal pain and allergic rash.
Diarrhea can be prevented by giving Sporolach powder along with Cephalexin.
Sporolac contains probiotics which reduce the frequency of the motions and abdominal pain.
If motions persist even after adding sprolac you may please visit the treating doctor for alternate medication.
