General & Family Physician, Dr. Sirisha's Response
Azithromycin can be the reason for the symptoms you are describing and your liver needs to be checked. It is better you go to your dr immediately who will suggest you appropriate investigations to evaluate your liver and can decide the line of treatment. These kind of side effects are rare to occur and it is given commonly for respiratory infections. It is good that you stopped the medicine but you need to go to your dr immediately and get treated. You need to take easily digestible food and avoid fried food and oily food. Doing regular pranayam exercise will help in minimising your suffering from asthma.
