What Are The Side Effects Of Clindamycin 150mg?

I never have used this online info. I have had reactions to pennecilens/Cillens also Zpak and Compazine. I had a rash with both cillens and Z PAC ...with compazine for nausea ended up ER. (my doctor didn t believe I was having reaction to compazine and wrote me off... Which i was having swollen toungue and shaking--they injected some form of bebdryl) In saying that, now I have anxieties when prescribed any medications, which I feel ashamed to say. I do take Xanax for my agoraphia and panic attacks. Now to the appoint. My dentist prescribed Clindamycin 150mg. 2capsules 1st then1every six hours for absess in tooth. I am 64year old female weight 115 lbs. I am upset with myself for being afraid to take meds prescribed due to worry of side affects ...thankyou sorry for long email, Jennifer

The common side effects of Clindamycin are:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, joint pain, fever,headache, heartburn, or sore throat.
However it is rare bloody diarrhea with severe abdominal cramps, dehydration and shock can also occur with the use of Clindamycin and this is one of the serious adverse effects. It is due to overproduction of toxins produced by Clostridium difficille-a normal bacterial gut flora.

Kindly consult your treating dentist if you develop these side effects.
