What Are The Side Effects Of Clindamycin Dose?

Hello Ive was on a 10 run on Clyndamyacin for pneumonia and irratation of the throat area due to coughing. Now I have extremely dark stool, solid, smelly. No real abdominal pain. My cough has been persisting even after a steroid. Now IbProferan seems to keep the cough in check. What would be your advice?

Thanks for reference,

1. You took clindamycin for respiratory infection. Clindamycin is lincosamide group antibiotic.
2. Has doctor prescribed? You took by own? Now a days clindamycin is not a preferred drug for respiratory tract infection. Resistance has developed and better drugs are available.
3. Among its side effect G.I disturbances are there, you mentioned dark stool (is it black? if it then suggestive of G.I bleed). In certain patient it may flare the symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease.

4. You took Steroid for cough. Again a very irrational treatment for cough. You should consult a doctor before taking steroid.
5. Ibuprofen is an NSAID analgesic , it is safe drug for short period use but it has no role in cough. So your symptoms has subsided due some other factor including work of body defense mechanism.
6. It seems that you are not taking proper advise before taking any drugs. It is very dangerous trend . Please take care of it.
