However it may cause some of the following side effects like symptoms of pregnancy, period like cramps, abnormal vaginal bleeding, foul smell vaginal discharge, dizziness, cramps, unable to fee the strings of the device, and rarely perforation. It is unlikely to cause weight gain. Based on the history given in your query you seem to have mild side effects which may subside over a period of few hours or so.
