What Are The Side Effects Of Copper T IUD?

Hi, I've had my copper IUD for 3 months now and I still get crampy pains every now and again - at about period pain strength...even when I'm not on my period.
Is it always going to be like this for me or will it settle down at some point? I'm seriously considering getting it taken out if I'm still like this after 6 months.
