What Are The Side Effects Of Depo-Provera?

Hi I have been on Depo Provera for over 20 years. In this time I have been prone to abscesses on all regions of my body but in the last 6/12 months I seem to have at least one at all times. They are painful and uncomfortable and leave scars. Is Depo the cause of this ,as I am considering stoping it, and either way, is there a medication I can take to prevent these abscesses?

Abscesses at injection sites and redness is usually common side effect. But if abscesses are all over the body, consult your treating physician to rule out other causes of the abscesses and also screen for diabetes mellitus.
