What Are The Side Effects Of Depo Provera Injection?

hi. I was on the depo shot for about a year and last year I stop taking it. My period is just now deciding to get back into the groove of things. My fiancé and I are looking to try for a baby and we have been trying for a while. I am not pregnant yet. My question is, is there something going on the main reason im not pregnant yet.? Or does ita take a while to start ovulating after your period has started? I don t know when I ovulate because my periods just started back up and sometimes they come early or late.

I understand your concern
Depot provera is good hormonal contraceptive with minimal permanent side effects. Return to fertility is by 6 - 10 months of stopping the injection. By 18 months of withdrawal, the fertility returns to original level.
So, I am afraid you will have to wait for couple of more months for complete return of sterility.If you don't get any response after that/ you are in very much hurry, it has nothing to do with the injection.. you need investigations for finding the cause of non conception.
